Geekworks is an Apple Authorised Service Provider located just 3km from the Brisbane CBD and can assist with all your Mac, iPad, iPod and iPhone repairs. We can also assist with Apple Watch repairs.
Apple Certified Technicians
Our Service Department typically has a same day or next morning on our workbench policy for most jobs.
Our average fix time for Apple warranty repairs is three to four business days. There is no charge for items covered by Apple Warranty and no need to make an appointment. Please be aware that Service Jobs are tended to on a first come first serve basis. Priority repairs are available by request and may incur additional fees. Service time is charged per hour and is billed in 30 minute increments after the first hour for jobs that are not covered under Warranty.
Things to do before coming in for your service:
Before you come and see us, make sure:
1. you have backed up your device to iCloud or to a Time Machine backup.
2. you have turned Find My Device off through iCloud. Find My Device is part of the anti-theft on an Apple Devices. For any repair to be processed through Apple’s Repair System we must have this turned off or we cannot order the parts.
How to turn off Find My Device?
First of all, go to www.icloud.com and sign into your Apple account, click on “Find iPhone” then “All Devices” at the top of the screen. Devices in your list that are offline (turned off) will have a grey indicator next to them. Click the small “X” next to the device that you wish to remove Find My Device from.
Do I need an appointment?
You do not have to have an appointment. We accept both appointments through Apple’s website and walk-ins.
How long does a repair take?
This really depends on the specific issue with your device. For hardware related faults, parts are not kept in house and will need to be ordered through Apple. This typically takes 2-3 business days and may take a further 2-3 business days to install and confirm the fault is no longer present. For software related faults, we typically complete these types of repairs in under a week. If we are experiencing delays for either a hardware or software fault, we will let you know so you are kept fully up-to-date.
Do I need the original receipt?
No. An estimated purchase date should be linked to the serial number of your device. Under rare circumstances, this may not be the case and we will contact you if a proof of purchase is necessary.
Do I still have warranty?
If you are concerned that your warranty has expired, give us a call or email and we can confirm your warranty status. Apple offers a one year limited worldwide warranty on all their devices. On top of this, you may be covered under the ACCC to devices purchased within Australia.

Apple Computer Warranty repairs
Apple Service on Warranty Hardware Problems are performed at No Charge.
Data Transfers and backups on warranty repairs are charged services, as Apple Warranty and AppleCare does not cover software or OS installations.
Please Note: If you need peripherals from your Mac replaced under warranty, such as a mouse, keyboard, power adapter or battery, please bring along the computer, with the peripheral. We need to sight the computer that the warranty work will be done under and in some cases test the computer itself to ensure it is not the basis of the issue.

Apple Watch
Before you send in your Watch for service, unpair it from your iPhone and remove Activation Lock. Remove your band and keep it along with your adapters and other accessories. You’ll need these when your Watch comes back from service.
When you send us your Watch, we’ll check to confirm that it’s eligible for the service you requested. If it’s eligible, we’ll repair or replace it. Replacements will be new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability. If we determine that your Watch is eligible for a different service than the one you requested, we’ll contact you with more information.
Authorised iPhone and iPad Repair Centre
Apple iPhones ideally need to be serviced with genuine parts. We only use Apple genuine parts and can deal with most minor problems in store while you wait For more serious damage, your iPhone may need to be exchanged as a whole unit for a very competitive exchange price. A broken screen, unfortunately, is the the one part that still needs to be done by Apple themselves and we exchange it through Apple Sydney , please allow four days for this process.
Non Warranty Repairs
Quote for Out of Warranty Workshop Repairs** $ 95 including GST Work performed in our Workshop $149 including GST per hour **All non warranty workshop repairs attract an $95 quote fee (or $55 for iPods or peripherals) to be paid at the time of check in. If you choose to go ahead with the repair after quotation, this fee will already have been applied to the repair and we will only bill for additional time to complete the job.
Beats Repairs
Beats by Dre repairs. If your Beats by Dre audio gear is covered by Apple’s Limited Warranty or under Australian Consumer Law we are able to arrange repair for you. Please note that we will need a copy of your proof of purchase (ie. Tax Invoice) to confirm your warranty status on this product.
